A new image for ShineWing Hong Kong.

The management of ShineWing Hong Kong has appointed Marc & Chantal Design in November last year to develop a brand identity for ShineWing (HK) CPA Limited. The objective of the commission is to design a visual identity which communicates the unique market position as well as the scope and capabilities of the new firm following the merger that came into effect in July 2005.

Recognising the strength of ShineWing's established China presence, the design brief seeks to address the importance of such lineage while at the same time, conveys the dynamism of a cross- While ShineWing (HK)

CPA Limited might be new as a corporate entity, the same is not true of its management. The entire professional team from the former practice remains intact and hence ensures a continuation of the professional legacy. Instead, the integration provides a much expanded scope and added value as a result of the China operation.

Keeping the existing logo, the new design foregrounds this interplay between cultures and practices and creates an identity which is both singular and differentiating. The new brand campaign will be launched in late February with the introduction of a new image brochure and website, together with a series of high profile corporate marketing events including the sponsorship of the prestigious Hong Kong Arts Festival 2006. Commenting on the appointment of Marc & Chantal Design, Barry Ip, director of ShineWing said, “We select Marc & Chantal for its unique cross-disciplinary approach which we saw as an edge aligning to our vision for the exercise.”

ShineWing Hong Kong Joined Hands with HKICPA in Support of PlayStreet 2005

Organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and Playright Children's Play Association, "PlayStreet 2005" took place on Sunday, 4 December 2005 at Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct.

ShineWing Hong Kong joined hands with HKICPA as a major sponsor for

the event, to help raise funds for children play development projects and, at the same time, inspired in young children early concepts of "money management" through educational games and activities. On the day, Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct was transformed into bright and colourful play zones hosting over 30 creative games, giving participating children a taste of a fulfilled and happy life.

“Playstreet” is a cross-cultural community event widely popular in many countries around the world. Its idea is to facilitate a safe place for kids to play by closing off certain streets in the community. The transformation of normally overloaded streets into colourful children’s play zones provides not just a day of enjoyment, it highlights the importance of such development for our next generation.
