Mr.Roy Lo was invited to speak for HKICS on Internal Control & Risk Management  

[Hong Kong, Oct 2012] Mr. Roy Lo, Deputy Managing Partner, was invited to speak in a seminar, organized by The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), on the topic of 'Internal control and risk management - Hong Kong Perspective', on 9 October 2012. 

The Institute organized a two-days seminar event on 8 Oct and 9 Oct 2012. The event was organized for the delegates from a National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" from Russia, who are mostly company secretaries or those who undertake such function from the national companies.

SHINEWING organised a media seminar about "Understanding on market misconduct"

[Hong Kong, Oct 2012] SHINEWING had oraganised a media seminar, on the topic of "Understanding on market misconduct", on 17 Oct 2012.

Keynote speakers were Mr. Roy Lo, Deputy Managing Partner and Ms. Gloria So, Risk Manager. In the seminar, they explained the major areas and the consequences of the market misconduct. At the same time, they provided a general idea of the Guidelines on Disclosure of Inside Information issued by the Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) in June 2012.

The seminar was well-received by around 20 reporters from different media parties. There were enthusiastic responses from the audiences in the Q&A session. The event was found to be covered on 14 news reports.

Mr. Roy Lo and Mr. Gloria So were invited to speak for Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants on disclosure of inside information

[Hong Kong, Oct 2012] Mr. Roy Lo, Deputy Managing Partner and Ms. Gloria So, Risk Manager were invited by HKICPA to be speakers on the topic of "Relevant laws and regulatory on inside information", on 19 Oct 2012.

The objective of this seminar was to provide a general idea, such as what constitutes inside information; when and how inside information should be disclosed; responsibilities for management control; etc; for the management level of listed companies to understand the importance on Guidelines and to have a better preparation for the enforcement of the relevant laws and regulations.

Mr. Andy Wong was invited to speak for Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants on IPO

[Hong Kong, Oct 2012] Mr. Andy Wong, Partner of SHINEWING was invited by HKICPA to be the speaker on the topic of "Keys of Successful IPO", on 29 Oct 2012. It offered an overview of the IPO process, listing requirement, problems that may arise during the listing process, and comparison of IPO market between this year and the past few years.

[Hong Kong, Nov 2012] Mr. Roy Lo, Deputy Managing Partner and Ms. Gloria So, Risk Manager were invited by The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) to be speakers on the topic of "Relevant laws and regulatory on inside information", on 13 Nov 2012.

This seminar provided a general idea, such as what constitutes inside information; when and how inside information should be disclosed; responsibilities for management control; etc; for the management level of listed companies to understand the importance on Guidelines and to have a better preparation for the enforcement of the relevant laws and regulations.

The seminar was well-received by around 130 audiences.
