HKICPA - Career Forum 2011
The full-day event on 16 October comprises of a young and prospective accountants summit, career-oriented workshops, career exhibition, interactive voting game and a free luncheon. Panel of guest speakers will share their working life, insights on career development and market trends in the accounting and financial sectors. Corporate visit by Mr. Li Yong, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Finance of China and Mr. Chen Yu Gui, Secretary General of CICPA
On September 5, Mr. Li Yong, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Finance of China and Mr. Chen Yu Gui, Secretary General of CICPA and his party came to visit SHINEWING Hong Kong office. They were given a warm welcome by Zhang Ke, chairman of SHINEWING Certified Public Accountants and all partners of Hong Kong.
Li highly praised and encouraged SHINEWING colleagues that they must have endurance in the career development process and strive for long-term brand development.

Changes on the Code on Corporate Governance Practices
Mr. Roy Lo and Ms Ritina Leung were invited by CPA Australia & HKICPA separately, to speak on the topic of ¨Changes on the Code on Corporate Governance Practices〃. It was our first time to give out a talk on the topic of "Corporate Governance".
The workshop emphasized on the highlights on the proposed changes under the Code on Corporate Governance Practices on directors and shareholders according to the consultation paper, critical issue related, and case studies.

Mr. Arthur Pang was invited by HKEX to be the speaker at a seminar about challenge and opportunity of Foshan enterprise taken place in Foshan. Arthur was responsible for the case study of "Credit China". It offered an overview of the structure contracts of the whole case. |

Wine-Tasting Event
A wine-tasting event for SHINEWING alumni and staff was organized at SHINEWING office on 9 Sept. We have specially invited Marco Vazquez, Fine Wine Manager of Jebsen Beverage Co. Ltd, to introduce different types of wine and explain the ways of wine tasting and its enjoyment. All our alumni and staff got the professional guidance on wine tasting, and also had the chance to get together with old friends. All of us had a lovely night with great pleasure.

Caring Company Scheme 2011/12 Networking Session
Mr. Angus Ho attended the “Caring Company Scheme〃 2011/12 Networking Session organized by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service on 30 August.
There were around 60 representatives from commercial and social service sector in this Networking Session where Mr. Angus Ho and Miss Aby Chau, Manager (Corporate Communications & Play Training) of Playright Children’s Play Association shared their collaboration experience. SHINEWING has been working with Playright Children’s Play Association since 2004 till now. It was only donation in the beginning, but more staff participation has been involved in these recent years. They also talked about how company and social service organization could cooperate in different ways, enabling the company to achieve Corporate Social Responsibility, and help people in need.

China Venture Capital and Private Equity CFO Conference
The “2nd China Venture Capital and Private Equity CFO Conference” was held in Beijing on 1st & 2nd September 2011. Mr. Kenneth Chen was invited to attend the the Welcome Dinner and Reception and speak on the topic “CFO’s Role in Managing Distressed Assets”.
In the conference, investment professionals, CFOs and controllers of top VC and PE firms doing business in China and Hong Kong will gather to keep network and discuss topics including emerging issues in audit, tax, current legal and regulatory issues, fund raising and exit updates.
